DAY 3: Light weather conditions

This Thursday marks the third day of competition here at La Rochelle for the Semaine Olympique Française. The port des Minimes where the competition is heldis a the center of all focuses, with the 8 olympic classes still fighting for the ranking podium.
For this third day of regatta, it's in very light weather
conditions that the competitors will have to confront each other. A
North-East wind is schedule in La Rochelle this morning, 3 to 5
knots between 11a.m. and 12 p.m., and a 5 to 7 knots breeze
expected between 3p.m and 6p.m.
This Thursday also marks the first Longtze regatta with a
training round. These sport keelboat, vivid and fast when upwind,
thanks to their light hull propelled by a powerful sail on a carbon
mast of 11,5 meters.
Even if this class isn't olympic, it entered the competition
for the first time, it was invited in the context of the Longtze
First race scheduled at 10 :30 a.m.
